Fire Prevention

The Fire Prevention program is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, visitors, and staff.  Our goal is to provide a safe environment through educational resources and training.

This is carried out by providing and promoting;

• Fire Safety Training – We offer onsite and offsite fire safety training on RACE/PASS.
• Code Red Drills – We conduct code red drills to meet the qualifications of The Joint Commission and other agencies.
• Safety Inspections – We conduct annual Title 19 Inspections with the Fire Marshal and Environment of Care. If you would like to request a Fire Safety inspection, send email to fireprevention@hs.uci.edu

Fire safety is essential to keep you and your loved ones safe. Simple precautions can prevent fires and reduce the risk. Be sure to: 

• Install Smoke Alarms
• Plan your Escape.
• Use a Fire Extinguisher

Being prepared and aware can save lives. Stay safe by taking these basic steps today!
